Birkenstock x Jil Sander presented their first collaborative project for Fall/Winter 2021/22 in the summer of 2021. Conceived by Creative Directors Lucie and Luke Meier for Jil Sander+, the collection was inspired by life in nature. The unisex shoes and sandals blend Jil Sander’s refined sense of luxury, comfort, and design with the authentic BIRKENSTOCK silhouette.
The result is a collection of four distinct models. By balancing thoughtful construction with BIRKENSTOCK’s DNA and craftsmanship, the Meiers created a unique synthesis of purpose and design — bringing a new spirit to sandals that have become contemporary icons.
